Grow & retain your client base with Zoho’s CRM
Whether you’re a real estate agent, salesmen, graphic designer, or have clients of any kind, customer relationship management (CRM) software can provide you with the necessary tools to stay organized, retain customers, and ultimately increase revenue. Started as a means to enhance customer service through a systematic approach, today CRM is not only that, but also a way of planning the complete business strategy of your company. Here we present one possible solution: CRM by Zoho.
Features overview
Zoho’s CRM is one of more than 30 products from the Zoho Corporation that range from word processing to wikis. Zoho has four basic areas it can be implemented in: sales, support, marketing, and orders. Basically, Zoho CRM is sales force automation (SFA) software—it is an application realized as SaaS. Apart from being compatible with Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, it is available as a mobile app as well (both Android and iOS), making it possible for you to access the CRM from anywhere and keep up with emails and sales activities even while you’re on the go. The ability to have a seamless link between a CRM account and Google Apps (Gmail, Docs, Contacts, Calendar, Tasks) and a number of other specific add-ons (namely other Zoho products, WordPress, RingCentral, TeamSupport, social media sites) is considered a significant advantage since it simplifies collaboration and sharing among workers. In accordance with its name, Zoho’s CRM is all about the customers: keeping the current satisfied and attracting fresh ones. The workflow can be divided into four steps that follow one after the other: start with marketing, then processing sales, scheduling orders and providing appropriate support. Want to know how long it takes for potential clients to go from clicking on your website to obtaining a price quote for your product? Use marketing automation. Want to track various opportunities and prospects in order to efficiently close even more deals? Use sales force automation. The general idea of merging several systems into one to reduce the workload is also seen with customer service, which is connected closely to sales processing. A webinar (web-based seminar) is also available on the Zoho CRM website, serving as an education tool to get to know the product’s capabilities better. Also, an important thing to note is that Zoho’s CRM is not HIPAA compliant, so any business in medical field cannot rely on it to store confidential records, for example.
User reviews
The average rating for Zoho CRM is a laudable 4 out of 5. Users found the CRM’s ability to connect with Gmail or other third-party software extremely helpful in accelerating business, although it did not always meet their expectations, e.g. instead of making a link to a file stored on Google Drive, the software actually copies it (and hence uses storage on Zoho), resulting in a static version of the document. Yet most users are satisfied that the software is not only feature-rich from the start, but also keeps adding brand-new functionalities based on suggestions made by clients. Praised for being highly customizable (especially when it comes to reports and tasks), Zoho’s CRM is know for significantly decreasing the transition time needed to switch between different clients. On the other hand, only the more expensive and advanced versions of the software seem to be compelling to most of the users. While offering a vast range of features for startups and mid-sized businesses, when compared to other CRM software some users believe Zoho’s CRM needs to make some improvements in order to compete with other companies on the market for large-sized business.
